Weekend Live Music Roundup: New Pants, Indie Rock, World Music and Twee Pop

This weekend starts with the quirky disco rockers New Pants, who will drop their sixth album Go East at The Star Live on December 18 (Friday), alongside a documentary about relationships between expats and Chinese women - there are like a million of these couples, maybe?

The album release will be supported by friends from the post-punk, indie pop and electronica spheres, including Hua Dong (of Re-TROS), Life Journey, Sulumi, Dead J, Me:Mo. RMB 100, RMB 80 (advance), RMB 160 (VIP, two for RMB 300). 9pm. The Star Live (6425 5677)
