The Bookworm Book Club: 'The Incarnations,' Aug 19

South Sanlitun favorite The Bookworm are hosting yet another session of their book club on August 19 at 7.30pm. If you are looking for something new to do and enjoy reading, this could be it.

This time the book to be discussed is The Incarnations by Susan Barker, hailed byThe Independent as 'China's Midnight Children.' The book is captivating (speaking from personal experience), as it follows a Beijing taxi driver through his past lives through a series of letter. This book provides a good insight into Chinese history, but also serves as a relaxing read perfect if you want to read something China-related, but aren't in the mood for a historical spiel.

There's still time to pick up the book from the Bookworm (RMB 105) and read it before August 19. Entry to the book club and its discussion is free, and you can enjoy a free drink while you're there, too.
