The Ming and the Manchus: A Walk and Discussion at the Forbidden City
A fun and informative walk and discussion of Chinese imperial history at Beijing’s majestic Forbidden City, including areas only just opened to the public at the end of last year. Not your usual history tour, this walk will combine Forbidden City fun facts, stories, pop culture references, and examples from the archives to bring to life the palace. Along the way, guides will discuss the two empires that ruled from behind the high red walls of the Forbidden City and how their legacies continue to shape China today. English Theater Audition Info Meeting

Shakespeare's Globe: The Merchant of Venice in Beijing
This world tour of Shakespeare's classic play The Merchant of Venice makes its way to Beijing's iconic NCPA, in which Shylock is played by the acclaimed and award-winning actor Jonathan Pryce. The production started at London's Globe Theatre earlier this year before snaking east. RMB 180-680. 7.30pm. NCPA
