9 Bazaars, Markets, and Fairs to Kick Off Your Beijing Spring Shopping

Spring is in the air! What a better way of celebrating this season is by doing some spring cleaning and going to some markets to replace the stuff you just threw out. Here’s a roundup of markets and bazaars to start your spring cleaning right.

Roundabout Community Center Weekly Bazaar. March 16, 10am-3pm
Join the first weekly bazaar in Shunyi at the Community Center of Roundabout in Shine Hills. All profits food, clothing, jewelry, cards, and gifts will go towards the Roundabout cause.

Roundabout Book Fair, Beijing City International School. March 18, 10am-3pm
Hundreds of second hand books will be up for grabs at Beijing City International School. Paperback books cost as little as RMB 10.

House Sale near 798 District. March 18, 11am-4pm

Pop-Up Beijing Auction, Pop-Up Beijing. March 18, 8.30pm
Pop-Up Beijing say farewell to their mascot Tanghulu, a two-meter-tall black, fiberglass horse in celebration of their two-year anniversary. If you don't think Tanghulu will fit in with the rest of your furniture then you may be more interested in one of the other items on sale, including a dinner with the Pop-Up team, antique Chinese furniture, and “mystery artwork.” Proceeds go to the China Red Ribbon Foundation. Neighsayers (sorry) will be happy to hear that the bar's happy hour will also be extended to encapsulate the entire day.

Rumble in the Jumble, Hot Cat Club. March 25, 2-8pm
A monthly thrift store and bazaar at Hotcat Club on Fangjia Hutong for all you craft and baked-goods needs.

Roundabout Lido Flea Market, Lido Place. March 25 and 26, 10am-5pm
Get rid of your spring rubbish and find some treasures to replace it with at Roundabout's Flea Market.

Loreli Affordable Art MarketYue Space. March 26, 1-5pm
The Loreli crew prepare for their next affordable art market at Yue Space on Banqiaonan Xiang. There'll be food, music, and art coming out of the wazoo.

Farm Neighbors continue their weekly Farmers' Market in the basement level of Grand Summit. Head over for food, crafts, and more.

Yu Market, 2/F Crib. Saturdays, 11am-5pm
Sanlitun's newest events and F&B space also join the market game with their weekly Saturday market. Expect the usual selection of food and drink as well as other goodies.
