Thirsty? Wet your whistle with Booze News, our wrap-up of the week's best bar deals, parties, drink concoctions, industry gossip, and more.

Drinks deals galore at Las Musas

I don't know about you but all this tense voting action makes me thirsty for a Pennsylvania-sized drink. Or better yet, something stronger from over the border, which is exactly what Las Musas is serving up. The new Slow Boat-backed Mexican joint has released details on their new string of drinks deals, which run Wednesday through Friday. In order: get buy one, get one free on all margaritas on Wednesdays, all Slow Boat beers for RMB 25 on Thursdays, and between 10pm to midnight on Fridays, get classic margaritas (frozen or on the rocks) buy one, get one free. That'll do the trick. Read our full recent review of the space here.

Side Street extended Saturday happy hour

Over in Jiadaokou, 2020's Burger Cup Champion Side Street give you another reason to visit on Saturdays with a new and extended happy hour. Between 4-8pm, all house mixers are buy-one-get-one-free and all draft beer is RMB 10 off. Cheers to that, fellas.

Wine and Food Experience at Hilton Beijing

Over at Hilton Beijing on Nov 7, midday-6pm, they're celebrating their 23rd Annual Wine and Food Experience. For RMB 88 or RMB 188 including a buffet lunch or dinner, attendees will have the opportunity to meet various wine and food vendors from around the world – a great way to build your F&B connections – or simply go along and sample some of the finer things in life. There'll also be live music throughout the afternoon.

Three new cocktails at Union

Union at The Opposite House has just released three new drinks in keeping with their pre-existing Silk Road-themed cocktails. The three are divided into north, south, and maritime routes and use ingredients that would have once defined the regions that they cut through. The Turpan, Yunnan, and Malaysia are made with such creative (and divisive) ingredients as melon, mushrooms, truffles, durian, and of course, a whole lot of booze. While you might not like them all, you're certain to find one that you can't get enough of. See the full breakdown here.

Ladies' night at Xian

Meanwhile, East Beijing's Xian Bar has launched a new "SE7EN-ELEVE11" ladies' night, which luckily is in reference to its running time every Thursday, not the tuna onigiri and Asahi that won't be packing the bar. Rather, each lady will be treated to a selection of free-flow cocktails, wine, or alcohol-free mixed drinks without paying a single jiao. There'll also be a DJ from 8pm onwards. See the full details here.

Monday cocktail night at Bei Zhaolong

Finally, if you're looking to sink your Monday blues, you might want to head along to Tuanjiehu-adjacent Bei Zhaolong Hotel for their new Monday happy hour. For RMB 100, you'll be privy to three of their five signature cocktails (pictured above). The promotion runs between 6-9pm.
