Apr 17: Glitz, glam, and giggles in celebration of comedian Long Hu's birthday

This Saturday, one of the longest performing comedians in Beijing, Long Hu, Comedian in Heels, is celebrating his birthday with a glamorous event at Lenore's. The event features some of Beijing's best burlesque performers, belly dancers, comedians, and musical acts. Come dressed to impress and you could even win a bottle of bubbly. Join this workshop where you'll learn how to make a super comfortable pair of simple leather sneakers, all materials provided. A new walk from Beijing Postcards, “The First Entrepreneurs of Beijing” is the story of commerce in the capital told through the products that shaped its people and their lives. ​Apr 18: ​​​​​​Changyucheng Walled Village with Beijing Hikers

Deep in the mountains of Changping District, pass by a reservoir in the forest and take a hike in the mountains before exploring the village of Changyucheng, which used to be a Ming Dynasty-era military barracks, on this weekend hike with Beijing Hikers. 8am (Liangmaqiao subway)/8.30am (Lido Metropark Hotel Starbucks).
