I hate to bring logic into this, but how can the "lottery car purchase" have any effect on the traffic problems? Such a regulation only keeps NEW cars off the road–it doesn't take existing cars off the road. It has zero effect on immediate traffic problems.

The news that the traffic is slightly better is great: but this lottery didn't do it.

Oh, come on. Sabai-Sabai is adequate at best, hardly the best in Beijing and not authentic at all. I am surprised to hear they have a Thai chef, it tastes like Chinese food made with a few Thai ingredients. Also very inconsistent, sometimes the curry is so watered down it is more like a soup. That being said, I do get it delivered from time to time because they are quick and relatively cheap.

Sabai-Sabai in Fulicheng has the best Thai Food in Beijing. Not a classy Restaurant, but the Food is very good.Owned and run by a Thai Chef.
Unfortunately only gets very few reviews since not beeing centrally located but beats any other Thai Restaurant in Beijing in terms of Food Quality.

Its a bit "Smash Hits" eh Beijinger?... "so which one of Duran Duran uses the most hairspray" etc... <):) Excellent photo but it would be nice to read a bit more about him and others.

Why not try something along the lines of...

Beijing Bloke, you're missing the point. Apple stuff is about style, fashion and bragging rights far more than functionality.

It's like saying your 20K Louis Vitton handbag doesn't have all the features of your 2K NorthFace rucksack.

But it's weird because it's the first company that's kinda like a fashion label that sells electronics.

The cyber stalker; having very poor social skills so that they may have a limited number or no friends, knowing no life outside of the Internet due to insecurities that make them fear the real world...
ouch!

The entire lot actually, there is simply no justification for their pricing. 5 grand for instance for the Iphone, that's a laugh. Apple bring a new meaning to the word propriety. The Galaxy S voted smartphone of the year for 2010 in Europe is almost half the price and in a straight comparison offers more than the Iphone.

YES! It's called the iPad. I would love to hear a decent rationalization for owning one of these plates of crap instead of a netbook.

I had to wait 6 months to use the iPhone 4 I bought in Manhattan. Now it's all hacked and stuff but I love it! :X

Totally worth the wait. I'm so done with grey market phones.
