I've eaten at several branches of Yakitasty around town, and have always enjoyed it. When you're in the mood for chuanr and don't want to take your chances with street skewers, this is a go-to place.

I am surprised that it's opened in Sanlitun, as most of the branches are in shopping malls around town.

May I ask why my comment was deleted? I was merely pointing out that taichi being descibed as "a moving form of yoga and meditation combined" would, by all accepted understandings of what is, and is not, taichi, would be incorrect.

Taichi is a martial art, and while combat application training is not necessary, an understanding of the martial intent of the art is necessary for it to be considered taichi. Otherwise, it is yoga, or meditation, or dancing with fans, and should be called such so as to not mislead peple, IMHO.

What are some of your favorite tracks of Benji? And are you a fan of the newer Jesu/Sun Kil Moon tunes, or are they too much of a departure for your liking?

Hi Amanda,

Yes, samples need to be bought after buying the ticket itself. However, the price of entry is well worth it, as vendors will be selling all bite-sized samples at a discount (capped at RMB 30 per serving). Moreover, if you get enough stamps in your foodie passport (we give that out for free to all attendees), you'll be able to redeem a nifty souvenir!

I'm in the UK and trying to purchase tickets for this event but can not because the payment page has not had the options for overseas visa or mastercard enabled, even though they are listed in the payment drop down...I keep getting a message to contact the host and ask them to enable them, so could someone please enable the options....this is very frustrating....
