EAT: Hot Pot After Dark, Monday Brunch at Caravan, Qingming by the Great Wall, Renovations at Moka Bros SLT

This week's dining highlights are one of the most eclectic we've seen in quite some time. From a Moroccan brunch at an unconventional time, to wee hours hot pot, to an authentic off-the-beaten-path noodles haunt, there's something for foodies of all stripes this go around.

Let's kick things off with a unique fix for your late night cravings. Red Bowl's newly launched Hot Pot After Dark Menu features unlimited food from 10pm onwards every night of the week. This decadent moonlit meal includes your choice of soup stock, along with free-flow of meat (including beef chuck rolls, Dalian beef sirloin, lamb rib rolls, and Inner Mongolian lamb rolls), fish, seasonal vegetables, hand cut noodles, dumplings, and much more. A definitely more stylish than average choice for late night dining, because who needs conventional dinner times, right? Just don't blame us for indigestion the next day.

If you are one of the few poor souls that have to work weekends – F&B professionals, teachers, students, entertainers, freelancers, etc. – then Caravan has a treat for you: Monday brunch! The highlight of the brunch is the shakshuka (that's eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, and onions, often spiced with cumin), which you can pair with bottomless drinks like mimosas and bloody pirates. Brunch is available Mondays from 11.30am-4.30pm.

If you're looking for something to do over Qingming Festival, take advantage of the warmer temperatures and (hopefully) clear skies and head out to Mutianyu, where The Brickyard just reopened their homestyle noodle shop, Xiaolumian. To celebrate, they are offering their tasting menu at the special price of RMB 128 instead of RMB 168. Check out the menu, which includes a selection of different hot and cold toppings that you can add to customize your noodles as you like them, here. Xiaolumian is a good option for visitors at any time of the year, and is perfect for fuelling up on carbs after you've scaled the Great Wall.

Finally, no need to fret, Moka Bros Sanlitun loyalists. You may have noticed that there's an ominous construction wall looming outside of the store, and given the recent Sanlitun razings, you'd be forgiven for thinking the worst, but luckily the restaurant is just undergoing a spring clean. The branch will reopen on Friday, Apr 6 at around 5pm and will be kitted out with new lamps and chairs inspired by their recent designs in Shanghai. Head over on Saturday and Sunday for a glimpse of the freshened digs as well as their second Weekend Spin Sessions alongside music from the crew's favorite DJs.
