Culturopolis is finally here, there's a bag making workshop and a special Spittoon event during the coming week in Beijing.

The number one event for the week ahead has to be our inaugural Culturopolis: The International Lifestyle Expo, taking place at Langyuan Station from Jan 31 to Feb 1. The expo brings together everything from trusted services, to global cuisine, top international schools, handmade crafts, government resources, health and wellness options, local sports groups and more, all under one roof. (And yes, it's completely indoors so you don't need to worry about the cold!) It promises to be a weekend where you can reconnect, discover something new, and feel a sense of belonging in Beijing.
Culturopolis: The International Lifestyle Expo will be taking place at Langyuan Station's Central Station from Jan 31 to Feb 1. Entry to Culturopolis is free.

Craft – Bag Making Workshop
On Wednesday (Jan 28) Make Me Workshop will be putting on a brand new Bag Making Workshop at their studio in Dongcheng. Attendees will get to learn how to craft their own leather handbag, which they'll also be able to take home with them.
The Bag Making Workshop will take place on Wed, Jan 28 from 6.30pm until 9pm. The workshop costs RMB 300 per person, which includes all the materials. If you bring a friend you also get a 10 percent discount. You can scan the QR code below to book.
Listen – Spittoon Special at No. 6 Nanyang Hutong
Next Thursday (Jan 29), Spittoon will be putting on a Spittoon Special at No. 6 Nanyang Hutong from 8pm. The event will feature a representative from three of Spittoon's regular Thursday events: Lethan Candlish for Storytelling, Sara Maria Hasbun for Fiction and James Bradley for Poetry. Each of them will be presenting longer pieces/sets that they've been working on for this special edition of Spittoon.
The Spittoon Special will be taking place at No. 6 Nanyang Hutong on Thu, Jan 29 from 8pm. Entry is free.
