Going there this afternoon.

Lets hope the food is edible.

I'm sorry that everyone's jealous of me.
But it's not my problem if I'm popular.

我真的很抱歉让大家都这么嫉妒我
但是我很受欢迎有不是我的错。

Love that there is more Free WIFI around. My favorite place is Bookworm but they need to sort out their power connections because last time i was there the adapter had too much pugged in to it and it almost blew up four computers...

Still the best place in town for sitting for hours on the next, sipping on wine and meet people on the long table...

Love it

Read the book, I k now the author is a worthy introduction. While it may not tell you too much about the book, it will tell you about the man. Postcards From Tomorrow Square gives you an intelligent inside look about China and how, at times, it seems to shoot itself in the foot. James Fallows, a feature writer for Atlantic Monthly, is an accomplished author.

I met Jim briefly at a Chanukah celebration at the home of my brother Marvin in Washington, DC. He sat at the foot of the long table . I sat next to him and opposite his son Tommy. http://www.paramuspost.com/article.php/20060117182134721 Almost everyone there was a stranger to me except for my newly reunited Fabrikant family. At that time, fairly new to www.Paramuspost.com, I asked him what he did. He laconically replied that he wrote an occasional article for Atlantic Monthly. Only later did I learn that he was a feature writer. Of course I proudly told him I was a writer also and gave him my business card.

When I returned to Paramus, I rushed out to purchase the magazine. Alas, there were no articles by James Fallows. I mentioned this to Bob, my other brother, and he suggested that I write to Jim and ask for a refund. Jim replied in kind telling me that I bought the wrong edition, that he had ten thousand words in the previous month. Since he didn't offer a refund, I went to the Paramus Library and looked it up.

After reading a very impressive article, I Googled James Fallows and was in awe of his many literary accomplishments. That article, that impressive article, told me that I couldn't shine the man's shoes when it came to writing.

Postcards From Tomorrow Square is written from China. Jim and his wife moved from DC to China for a three year period. He was in the states recently and stayed with Marvin and Patty, my brother's hospitable wife. They are even mentioned in the Introduction.

Might go :]

My friends are all going there, so I guess I'll go just to see em.

I personally prefer pop and house though.

Wow it is amazing how many restaurants these days are doing suckling pig.

Thanks for the article however, real pity about your bad journalistic skills since some of the facts in the December issue of The Beijinger are so far off and outdated that it is not funny, just really sad!

No wonder you guys are going out of business and your publication is no longer of the quality it once was...

Just had to say it...

Great article/review. I have heard CB many times but it's nice to know a bit more about it.

Members of the Beijing Aussie Rules FC would never laugh at the chicks of our great city who choose to wear uggies. We 100% support the wearing of this great piece of footwear throughout the winter months, as long as its made of 100% Aussie merino. Don't be fooled into purchasing the inferior Kiwi product.

Other BARFC officially endorsed female footwear includes thongs (ie rubber sandles/flip flops, not g-strings...although we don't have a problem with them either), blunnies or ridiculously high black vinyl CFMBs.

Long live the Uggy!

The donations from the Fun Wine Auction has been donated to Ping An Medical Foster Home.

We visited Ping An and presented the donation in person last week. We even met the child, Dang Jia Le, where the proceeds will be a portion to help put him through his second heart surgery. Jia Le's condition is severe, but the surgery will bring him that much closer to a chance in life. The short time we spent with him we were very moved by his
strength and his precocious personality.

The heart surgery costs in total RMB 70,000. Any amount of donation is welcomed and will be acknowledged. Please drop your cash donations at the Beijinger office, c/o Victoria Yang, Room 2801, Building 10, Wanda Plaza, 93 Jianguo Lu, Chaoyang (near Dawang Lu Subway station), between 10am-5pm, Monday- Friday. Victoria can be contacted at: victoriayang@truerun.com.

Ping An will keep us informed about his condition and wish that after his surgery he will be adopted by a warm and loving family.

Below are some lovely pics of little Jia Le:
