Food Frights: Beijing's History of Food Scares

The government is attempting to protect the public from persistent food scares. It seems we're never far away from a newly-introduced clampdown on one foodstuff or another. Street favorite, chaun'r is one delicacy that often finds itself under attack from powers-that-be (pretty often for justifiable reasons), while in recent memory, hairy crab was also endangered.
