River BBQ Fest Food and Drink Vendors Pt. 2

It's less than two weeks until River BBQ Fest, which will be hitting Langyuan Station's Riverside Cultural Plaza from Sep 19 to 21. To get you just as excited in anticipation as we are, we're bringing you our second vendor post! If you missed the first vendor post, you can check it out here.

Now, let's take a sneak peek at what's in store…

HUNGER DOG
饿狗 

HUNGER DOG is dedicated to Texas-style barbecue, using fruitwood and low-and-slow techniques, with most meat being cooked for 12 to 18 hours. All their meat is sourced from premium suppliers in the US, and they'll have some of their signature offerings at the fest.

Menu Highlight(s):

  • Slow-Smoked Beef Brisket – featuring a crispy, peppery “bark” on the outside and tender, juicy, smoke-infused meat inside
  • Classic Beef Ribs – selected for their generous marbling, these ribs are slow-smoked until the fat fully renders, leaving only rich beef aroma and astonishing tenderness
  • American Pork Ribs – brushed with their secret sauce, which is the perfect balance of sweet and savory, cooked until the meat pulls clean off the bone and bursts with juice
  • House-Made Pork Sausage – handcrafted sausages made daily from fresh pork shoulder, delivering a distinct meaty texture, juicy snap, and robust smoky flavor

Tandoor Indian Restaurant
天都里印度餐厅

Specializing in tandoori dishes, Tandoor Indian Restaurant has been perfecting their craft since 1994, when they first opened in Shanghai. They will be offering some of their most famous tandoori dishes at the festival.

Menu Highlight(s):

  • Tandoori Chicken – a twist on the classic; Hainan Wenchang Chicken is infused with their secret masala spices for a perfect blend of Chinese and Indian flavors
  • Tandoori Mackerel – a specialty of their restaurant; fresh Norwegian mackerel is marinated in a blend of masala spices that enhance its savory flavor
  • Mango Yogurt – homemade yogurt, hand-fermented and blended with Thai mango pulp; it's the perfect accompaniment to their tandoori dishes

SinJu Smokehouse
薪玖烤坊

At SinJu Smokehouse, they're experts in Texas BBQ, with a big focus on beef, especially brisket. They'll be bringing some of their signature offerings to the fest. 

Menu Highlight(s):

  • Texas-Style Smoked Brisket – US IBP USDA choice beef brisket is smoked low and slow over date wood for 12 hours and then simply seasoned with coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper to highlight the natural flavors of the beef and smoky aroma

Drinks:

  • Weissbier – a traditional German wheat beer with a refreshing taste
  • American West Coast-style Session IPA – a classic beer to pair with American BBQ

XI TANG
熹棠

Bringing flavors from closer to home, XI TANG will be serving up Beijing barbecue at the fest. All their barbecue is prepared using traditional marinades and cooking techniques for an authentic Beijing experience. 

Menu Highlight(s):

  • Roast Lamb – cubes of slow-roasted lamb cooked at a low temperature and seasoned with chili and cumin

Drinks:

  • Youth – rum mixed with lime, green grape and basil
  • Grandpa in Summer – Nordes Gin mixed with basil, cucumber and may flower

LA PLATEA
兰蒂地中海餐吧

Mediterranean eatery La Platea will be showcasing the flavors of Italy at the fest. 

Menu Highlight(s):

  • Grilled Thick-Cut Steak – grilled to golden perfection with a crispy exterior and tender interior, lightly sprinkled with Fleur de Sel de Guérande. The crystals dissolve subtly under high heat, adding profound yet delicate layers of umami and salinity. All served with La Platea's house grilled Mediterranean vegetables: bell peppers, zucchini, and eggplants infused with olive oil and caramelized over charcoal to bring out their natural sweetness

  • Cocktails

The T Restaurant

American diner The T Restaurant will be showing off some different varieties of American BBQ at the fest with their offerings.

Menu Highlight(s):

  • Kansas-Style Pork Ribs
  • Chicago-Style Pork Ribs
  • Steak – USDA Prime grade sirloin from IBP 

Drinks:

  • White Beer
  • Passion Fruit-Flavored Wheat Beer

Rosy Bistro
燃喜Bistro

Rosy Bistro will be offering up a whole range of different barbecue flavors at the fest. 

Menu Highlight(s):

  • Middle Eastern Spiced Roast Chicken Legs with Buttered Naan – chicken marinated in Middle Eastern-spiced yogurt, roasted until crispy but still tender and served with soft buttery naan bread
  • Crazy Beef Roll with Roasted Potatoes – a beef roulade stuffed with mushroom puree and mozzarella cheese served with roasted potatoes
  • Fresh-Grilled Sausage 
  • Pineapple Mixed with Lime

Drinks:

  • Black Plum Golden Pineapple Soda
  • Bulgarian Rose Sparkler

NBEER CRAFT BREWING

Craft bewpub NBEER will be doing numerous fusion barbecue dishes at the fest. 

Menu Highlight(s):

  • Qiannan-style Sour Mango and Chicken Burrito 
  • Pepper Flame Pineapple Beef Brisket Burrito
  • Spicy Double Heroes Burrito – spicy crayfish and Angus beef brisket 
  • BBQ Pork Ribs
  • Charcoal Garlic Chicken Skewers 
  • Charcoal Beef with Muhammara
  • Deep Fried Spicy Tofu Skewers

Drinks:

  • Beijing Gose Modern – this brew combines the refreshing essence of pineapple with a subtle hint of sea salt
  • Cucumber Milk Glutinous Rice Smoothie

932℉ PIZZA MARKET 
932℉披萨市集

Another spot showcasing the flavors of Italy at the fest will be 932℉ PIZZA MARKET with their porchetta offerings.

Menu Highlight(s):

  • Porchetta – Italian-Style crispy roast pork belly roll crafted with premium imported pork belly marinated in a blend of Mediterranean spices and then cooked at a low temperature for ten hours until it's finished with a high-heat sear to create its signature crispy skin
  • Porchetta Sandwich – the same porchetta as above, but stuffed inside their handmade bread

9t night
酒肉之地

9t night is a newly opened craft beer bar and restaurant that opened in May this year. They specialize in high-quality craft beers and a unique fusion of Chinese and Western dishes. They will bring a variety of barbecue flavors from around the world to the fest. 

Menu Highlight(s):

  • French-Style Rosemary Lamb Chops – low-temperature cooked lamb that's slightly charred on the outside but still pink in the middle, seasoned with rosemary and served with cherry tomatoes and pan-fried baguette slices in butter
  • Brazilian-style Vegetable & Prawn Skewers – prawns marinated in coconut milk and skewered with fresh vegetables
  • Black Pepper Beef Cubes – marbled beef covered in a rich black pepper sauce bursting with umami flavor

Lounge

Lounge will be showcasing the meaty flavors of New Zealand and Australia at the fest. 

Menu Highlight(s):

  • New Zealand Tender Roasted Lamb Chops – cooked using precise low-temperature techniques to retain all the lamb chops' juiciness. 
  • Australian Tender Grilled Ribeye – the steak is marinated for approximately ten hours, allowing the flavors to fully infuse the meat.

Salud

European frozen yogurt brand Salud will be serving up a range of their signature frozen yogurts at the fest, a perfect refreshing bite to enjoy after gorging on all the meat.

  • Kiwi VC Frozen Yogurt

YOMI Italian ARTISAN GELATO 
YOMI意大利手工冰淇淋

For those looking for a sweet treat to cool off, YOMI will have a range of their artisan gelatos available, in either cups or cones, crowned with hazelnut Pocky sticks for some added crunch. All of their gelato is made with authentic Italian ingredients using centuries-old recipes, creating a gelato that is not only velvety smooth but also low-fat and guilt-free!

Menu Highlight(s):

  • A range of gelato
  • Mango Mango Frappuccino – sweet tropical mango, creamy and refreshing
  • Strawberry Frappuccino – sweet-tart strawberry, refreshing with a light icy crunch

CHEERS Wines
齐饮进口葡萄酒

CHEERS Wines will be bringing plenty of their great quality wines and carefully crafted cocktails that pair perfectly with barbecued meats to the fest. They've even created an exclusive BBQ-themed cocktail just for the festival.

Drinks:

  • BBQ Sauce Storm – this cocktail is a “drinkable BBQ sauce,” perfect for pairing with grilled meats. The cocktail's mixture of bourbon's sweet grain with Shiraz's dark fruit and pepper replicates a barbecue glaze's depth, while Worcestershire adds umami and spice. Lemon and maple syrup cut through the richness of meat, and a smoky finish (from smoke bitters and charred rosemary garnish) echoes the charred aroma from the grill
  • Coconut Lime Cooler – the natural sweetness of coconut and zesty lime offer a tropical vibe, counteracting the spiciness and heaviness of grilled meat with a refreshing layer
  • Moonlight Paradox – the floral notes of butterfly pea and lychee’s sweetness balance the saltiness of grilled meat, while vodka’s intensity elevates the overall flavor
  • Aperol Spritz – the bittersweet orange aroma stimulates the appetite, while the sparkling wine cleanses the palate, enhancing the charred texture of barbecued meat
  • Paloma – the refreshing citrus notes cut through the richness of grilled meat, while tequila’s herbal character complements the smoky flavors

MUNCHENAL

What's a better accompaniment to barbecue than beer? Well, MUNCHENAL will be offering a variety of their Munich-style beers at the festival. All their beers are made using traditional German brewing methods with pale malt, black malt and wheat malt imported from Australia. 

Drinks:

  • Munich Dunkel – a Bavarian brown lager, it ranges in color from amber to dark red-brown, with a smooth texture, rich malt flavor and a lingering aftertaste. It's perfect for pairing with spicy barbecue dishes

VEDETT
白熊啤酒

Another spot serving up a range of beers at the fest is Belgium brewery VEDETT. 

Drinks:

  • VEDETT Extra Gold – an unfiltered Belgian-style witbier, it features an alluring golden-yellow hue with a slight haze and a soft, delicate foam. Brewed with the addition of lemon and coriander seeds, it exudes a uniquely rich aroma, complemented by subtle notes of banana, citrus, and spices
  • Liefmans Fruitesse – a Belgian fruit beer, it boasts a light pink foam and is rich with the flavors of five berries: strawberry, raspberry, cherry, blueberry, and elderflower
  • Ducato Via Emilia – an Italian-style pilsner with a bright golden body crowned with a dense, snow-white foam

TUKTUK Thai Herbal Beverage

Specializing in lemongrass-based drinks, TUKTUK will have a range of refreshing Thai beverages at the fest. For their drinks, they use an innovative technique, utilizing Thai plants like lemongrass, pandan leaf, etc. to brew a soup-like base, which is then used in the drinks.

Drinks:

  • Sparkling Water with Lemon Grass and Lemon
  • Thai lced Lemon Tea with Basil
  • Fresh Boiled Lemon Grass Juice
  • Lemon Grass and Lemon Americano 
  • Handmade Lemon Grass and Lemon

HELLMANN'S
好乐门

World-renowned mayonnaise brand HELLMANN'S has been crafting their recipe for over a century, using only the highest-quality egg yolks and vegetable oil. At the fest, they'll have a range of their signature mayonnaises available, plus other merch and some fun interactions where you'll have the chance to win prizes!


River BBQ Fest will be taking place at Langyuan Station on Sep 19 from 4pm until 9pm and Sep 20-21 from 11am until 9pm. Early bird tickets are RMB 19.9 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster above. Tickets at the door are RMB 29.9.

Langyuan Station Riverside Cultural Plaza

The River BBQ Fest will be taking place at Langyuan Station Riverside Cultural Plaza. Last year, the space underwent an upgrade and now features a scenic platform overlooking the Ba River. With blue skies, grassy lawns, river views, pedestrian streets and a sunken plaza, it’s the perfect setting for an autumn event. 

Langyuan Station itself is a cultural and creative landmark featuring both industrial and international styles. Its location by the Ba River and adjacent to the greenery of Jiangfu Park makes it a place where you can enjoy nature and pop-up cultural activities at the same time. It's home to an array of businesses and industries such as art museums, cafés, home design, trendy fashion, upscale dining, sports and film, and it has become a popular hotspot for shopping and socializing in Beijing.
