Veg-Friendly Non-Chinese Restaurants in Beijing Pt.2
Today, we have our last installment of exploring Beijing's veg-friendly restaurants ahead of World Vegetarian Day tomorrow (Oct 1). You can check out our previous two posts below:
Now, let's take a look at more spots to veg-out!
Please note: Some of these establishments have multiple locations; for brevity's sake, we've listed one for each. You can check Dianping for more locations.
Rabiul's Kitchen
First up on part two of this list, we have Rabiul's Kitchen by Dastaan, which has an amazing array of veggie offerings. However, it should be noted that their three other restaurants (Dastaan, Bollywood Tales and Mumbai Impression) also have great veggie options; we've just chosen to put the spotlight on their newest eatery in this post. Having opened up back in March this year, they've already won over the hearts and stomachs of Beijing's veg community, with their Mumbai-Style Potato Burger (RMB 42, pictured above), aka Vada Pav, coming second in the Veggie Burger Cup. A popular Indian street food, the burger consists of spicy, deep-fried potato fritters (vada) served inside a soft bun (pav) and accompanied by green and red chutneys.
That is but one of many veggie dishes at Rabiul's Kitchen, though, with a whole range of vegetarian starters, snacks, curries and more. On the curry front, they've got things like Dariyaganj Baingan Bharta (RMB 58), tandoor-smoked eggplant with Indian spices; Mushroom Mutter Masala (RMB 62); and Makhan Malai Palak Paneer (RMB 68). For starters and snacks, they've got everything from Panipuri Express (RMB 48) to Samosa Mein Twist Hai (RMB 22) and the humble Onion Bhaji (RMB 38).

Some to look out for are the Cappadocian Tofu Bowl (RMB 68), Creamy Asparagus Penne (RMB 60), Vegan Veggie Green Curry (RMB 65) and Tuscany Baguette (RMB 60, pictured above). They also hold semi-regular all-you-can-eat vegan Sunday brunches, which are definitely something to watch out for!

Lighter bites include things like the Elote Fritters (RMB 44) and the Jalapeño Poppers (RMB 40, pictured above), where full jalapeños are stuffed with cream cheese, deep-fried until golden brown and served with a green chili ranch. Or if you want to go big, you can't go wrong with the Sloppy Vegan Torta (RMB 60).

If you’re looking for brunch dishes specifically, they’ve got vegetarian Mediterranean classics like Shakshuka (RMB 78) and Turkish Cilbir (RMB 78, pictured above). They also have a whole range of meze dishes like Classic Jerusalem Style Hummus (RMB 58) and Southern Eggplants with Tahini (RMB 78). Or if you want a little bit of everything, you can’t go wrong with the Mixed Mezze Supreme (RMB 168).

Moka Bros
As you might expect from an eatery that focuses on creative, healthy food, Moka Bros has a pretty decent selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. They’re probably most famous for their salads and power bowls that pack in a huge variety of ingredients into one dish. Their Buddha Bowl (RMB 86), for example, sees avocado, kimchi, roasted cauliflower, raisins, beetroot, pine nuts, radish and black rice all topped with lemon thyme dressing and garlic. Another great thing is that a lot of their salads and bowls, such as the Mexican Bowl (RMB 69), can be made vegan by swapping out the chicken etc. for tofu.
