This Tuesday (Nov 25), Modernista's Songwriter Series welcomes Hazel Shang back to the stage. Hazel is an indie folk singer-songwriter from Beijing whose music style blends folk, bossa nova and other influences. Her gentle melodies and understated vocals create a soothing atmosphere that's quietly powerful.

Middle Kingdom Creative's production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying continues its run at JinShang Yuan this weekend (Nov 28-29) and next (Dec 5-6). Based on the1960s satirical musical comedy of the same name, the story follows J. Pierrepont Finch, a waimai delivery boy who uses a self-help book to climb from the mailroom to the boardroom, all without breaking a sweat.
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying is taking place at JinShang Yuan's Garden Theater at 7.30pm on Nov 28 and 29 and Dec 5 and 6. Tickets are RMB 150-250 and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster above.

Drink – Jingle Bell Sweater: New Seasonal Beer From Jing-A

Jing-A has just launched a new seasonal brew called Jingle Bell Sweater. Inspired by mulled wine, it's a flavored stout with spiced notes of cinnamon, clove and star anise. It features Ekuanot hops layered with citrus tones, orange juice and brown sugar, creating a warming beer that's perfect for winter. It can be enjoyed either cold or hot and is available now across all Jing-A locations.
