Christmas is almost here, and looking to the week ahead, we've got a few festive happenings in the capital. From a Christmas quiz to Christmas comedy, feasts and more. 

Compete – Ugly Sweater Christmas-Themed Quiz at The Local

This Tuesday (Dec 23) The Local will be putting on an Ugly Sweater Christmas-Themed edition of their weekly quiz. Up to six people per team can get a bonus point for wearing an ugly Christmas sweater and there will also be ginger cookies for quizzers who reserve a table in advance. The quiz kicks off at 8pm and it's recommended to have a maximum of six people per team. There will be prizes given out for each round and for first, second and second-to-last place. Laugh – Whose Christmas Is It Anyway?

On Friday (Dec 26), there will be a Christmas-themed improv comedy show at Nanyang Hutong #6 from 8pm. Called Whose Christmas Is It Anyway?, it takes inspiration from the famous improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway? The lineup will feature comedians Donnie Fan and Nico Too Much from the Comedy Citadel, Nathan from the improv duo SanliTWINS, and Laurel and Sean from Beijing Improv. The show is free to attend but has a two-drink minimum requirement. To join, you can RSVP by scanning the QR code in the poster above.

Drink – Xmas Ale at Slowboat
