Enoterra will have a Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday 22 November with a delectable three-course dinner. Featuring slow-roasted turkey, house-made cranberry relish and a pumpkin pie desert. Includes a paired bottle of Chateau Belair-Coubet wine. Dinner for two persons is RMB 588.
Just please be careful if you choose a live tree–many of the cheaper Christmas lights here run very hot (and are hence more of a fire hazard than usual). When you make the real/plastic decision, unless you're planning on have a Yule log burning for the holiday, take into account Beijing's extremely dry climate and poorly wired homes.
Another event for the list. The Wine Republic is hosting an Indian Thanksgiving at Tadka Rasoi in the Beijing Marriott Northeast. There's a five-course Indian feast paired with five fine wines from Australia's Yering Station. It's from 6.30-9pm and priced at RMB 398 per person. RSVP at 5869 7050 or

The prices in Shanghai have been updated to 45rmb per martini as well. One of the best gin martinis in town. The staff come around regularly as well - I usually manage 6-8 sandwiches in a single sitting. Go early to grab a seat... especially Friday evenings!

Shanghai's Mortini happy hour is similar priced. Morton's Martini's priced at 38yuan with all you can eat steak sandwiches.
