Save the Date for These Upcoming Christmas Events

It's December and officially the start of the Christmas season! To get you in the holly and jolly spirit, here are a few upcoming festive parties, dinners and more to save the date for. We've included a couple of new Christmas markets that have just been announced, but for even more, check out our dedicated Christmas market post here.

OASIS Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Kicking off the Christmas season, OASIS Hospital will have their annual tree lighting ceremony on Fri, Dec 5, from 6pm. The festive evening features holiday carols, a kids' play zone, free food and drink, vendors for some early shopping and a lucky draw. The event is free to attend, and you can register by scanning the QR code in the poster above.

AustCham Ambassador's Briefing & Christmas Dinner

AustCham China will be putting on their annual end-of-year Ambassador's Briefing and Christmas Dinner at The Capital Club this Friday (Dec 5) from 6.15pm. The event will start with a cocktail reception followed by a Christmas dinner and a briefing from the Australian ambassador to the People's Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Scott Dewar. Startup Grind Beijing Christmas Party

Startup Grind Beijing will be having a Christmas party on Saturday afternoon (Dec 6) from 2pm to 6pm at JinShang Yuan. The event will include a Christmas gift exchange, talks from entrepreneurs and industry leaders, a lucky draw raffle, interactive improv comedy and the chance to mix and mingle with founders, innovators and creators. French Winterfest at China World Mall

The China World Mall will be putting on their French Winterfest starting this weekend (Dec 6-7) and then running every weekend until Jan 1 from 11am to 7pm at the China World Mall Football Field. They'll be transforming the space into a French-themed winter market with each weekend having a different theme. This weekend (Dec 6-7) will be the Opening Celebration, then next weekend (Dec 13-14) will be Arts & Crafts, Dec 20-21 will be a Winter Solstice Carnival, Dec 27-28 will be a Winter Garden Weekend and finally, Dec 31-Jan 1 will have a New Year Blessing theme. Early bird tickets are RMB 29.9, standard tickets are RMB 39.9, an all-access pass (can go multiple days) is RMB 69.9 and a family pass (two adults and two children) is RMB 99.9. ICVS 2025 Christmas Party

On Saturday (Dec 6) from 2pm to 5pm, the International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) will be having their annual Christmas party. The party is for pet owners, pet rescuers, animal lovers, those looking to adopt a pet, and, of course, your fur babies are also welcome! All attendees will receive a Christmas present from ICVS, and there will also be a raffle, holiday treats and more. The party is free to attend, and you can read more about it here.

BCIS Winter Bazaar

Beijing City International School (BCIS) is collaborating with local charity Roundabout for their winter bazaar. It'll be taking place from 10am to 2pm on Sun, Dec 7 at the BCIS main campus gym. The event will include live performances, seasonal snacks, interactive activities and more surprises, all while raising money for Roundabout. Swiss Raclette Night & Pre-Christmas Celebration

SwissCham will be putting on a special pre-Christmas raclette night on Fri, Dec 12, from 6.15pm at the Kempinski Hotel. The event will include a raclette buffet dinner with free-flow wines and soft drinks, a lucky draw and an afterparty from 10pm. Tickets are RMB 520/SwissCham members and RMB 580/non-members, and tickets for children aged 6-12 are 50 percent off and free for those under 5. British-Canadian Christmas Party

CanCham and BritCham are joining forces to put on a Christmas party on Sat, Dec 13, from 6pm at the St. Regis. The event will feature a traditional Christmas buffet, prize draws, live performances and a special visit from Santa Claus. Tickets are RMB 880/members, RMB 1,280/non-members, RMB 250/children aged 6-12 and free for children under 6. INN 2025 Christmas Party

The International Newcomers Network (INN) will be hosting their annual Christmas party on Sat, Dec 14, from 2pm to 6pm at Maison FL. A family-friendly event, the party will feature a range of activities, including Christmas games, a “sew your own stocking” activity, Christmas card making, a raffle and the chance to meet Santa! You can also do some holiday shopping while enjoying holiday treats, snacks and beverages. Tickets are RMB 100/adult and RMB 50/child (aged 5-12). Children under 5 get in free. Christmas Market at the Italian Cultural Institute

The Italian Cultural Institute, in partnership with the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, will be putting on a Christmas market on Sun, Dec 14, from 10am to 4pm. You can expect a range of vendors selling food and drinks, arts and crafts, and Christmas gifts and decor. Tickets for the market have yet to be announced, but you can follow the Italian Cultural Institute's official WeChat account (ID: IIC-Pechino) to keep up to date with any news.
