Beijing Heating to Come on an Entire Two Days Earlier Than Planned!

And finally, good news. Well, a little bit of good news. Beijing's heating will come on on November 13, two entire days earlier than normal! Mark your calendars, because that Sunday might just be the best day of the winter.

Until then, make sure you wrap up because we've got some chilly nights ahead of us, with lows of -1 and -2 degrees Celcius becoming the norm next week.

Unfortunately, we know from experience that heating comes with smog, because of the sheer amount of coal that is required to heat up the entire north of China. At least we won't have to be wearing our winter clothes indoors, but smog predictions for the next few days are looking grim already as people fire up their coal furnaces.

With that in mind, it might be best to grab yourself an air filter and get ready to cozy up with a nice film and cup of hot chocolate come November 13.
