This is a start, but people are still going to park wherever they please (even when that parking creates pedestrian/traffic issues), and Mobike still doesn't seem interested in cleaning up the abandoned bikes. Just bite the bullet, hire some trucks and go through the city collecting those older/broken bikes.

Pity the man too dense for satire.

I'm quite suprprised that others have indicated about how much they liked this article. I thought it was pointless and useless. It just shows the degrating quality of this publication.

He sounds like a Chinese ass kisser. If he likes China so much he can rip up his fucking passport and just be here forever. I hate that kind of foreigner who kiss the ass of these racist Chinese. Fuck them.

They also have a lovely new shop on the second floor of 258 Market, 200m west of Zaoying subway station exit A/Chaoyang Park west! (Also - the market has a lot of useful electronics sellers on the second floor and various clothing/materials sellers on the third floor, as well as the CK Culture Boutique which sells elusive Feiyue shoes, so it's worth a visit!)

Pull your pants UP! U SAGGIN'!

Loved this article so much Jeramiah, you write so well! (Also very much enjoy your Instagram account!) The key to loving Beijing is definitely scratching below the surface and finding out more about her, which is why my husband and I are on our 15th year here, lungs be damned haha!

great article...Beijing was my home for 15 years, had great time, i had a great career, great home, great friends..... i was handling the whole beijing well, accepted the pollution as a package comes with the happiness, but after having a kid it started to kick.....he was only 1 year old when he started his coughing sessions, year 2 was tougher he had to actually get medication and inhaled steroids, year 3 wasnt better and when he started kindergarten he was sick all the time....

that was it, so we decided to leave everything behind and move out and we did it on 2017 May. Since the day we moved he never had any health problem, it was a sudden cut on every health related problems.....

i am still very positive about Beijing, i love it there, i still feel its my home, i still remember our flight out of Beijing, which was really not easy to accept the idea that we were giving up on Beijing after 15 years...........

that's sad.
BUT, since 2017, the air quality has been terrific!

By the way, you can also send money to your family memeber or a friend who is not in China as well. The procedure is simple. Once your friend recieves the red packet (sent by you), a new feature of "wallet" will be instantly displayed in your friend's WeChat Account. However, for a foreigner, the Red Packet icon will appear during next day (after 24 hours), only then he or she will be able to pass on the money.

~~“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” ~~.

It's true that last night's earthquake wasn't significant. But what is significant is that the earthquake took place near Beijing, prompting a response that wasn't "meh".

Rumors about aftershocks were so prevalent on social media last night that People's Daily posted a story debunking them. And, even though few structural damage was reported aside from some cracked ceilings, the quake was enough for officials to cancel local trains just as the Spring Festival rush is underway, delaying thousands of travelers and influencing millions more.

If this is the response Beijing has to a "pathetic" earthquake, we do not want to see what happens when the "non-pathetic" one hits.
