Sorry Starborn, I tried to make it clear a couple of times in the story that the chef uses vegan substituitions, before describing some of them (the potato and carrot-based cheese substitute sauce etc. in paragraph five). There might have been a better way for me to highlight that though, I'll keep that in mind while working on my next review.

Are you vegan yourself, btw?

The latest update on the Go Fund Me page confirms that Waters has since passed away. His friend Mark Porter writes "My heart is broken for the family, and your love, support, and prayers are still very important for them. Thanks to everyone supporting the effort and helping with the cost to "Bring Nate Home". We love you Big Nate, Rest In Peace brother."

Ahhh.. Thanks guys! I saw the photo and immediatly thought of Amilal. Great to be endeared. Trust me, I miss it too. I have to ask though; does the wording here make it sound to anyone else as if I died late last year? In fact I'll be around to check this place out and would hate to be mistaken for the undead. Until I've had a few drinks at least. What's the whiskey selection like?
