Does that say 40 kuai for a latte? What's going on with prices in Beijing lately? That's over $6.25 when a comparable drink in New York would be $4 tops.
I tried to catch them all one year. I wanted to be the very best like no one ever was. It seemed rational at first. I developped good rapport with a pretentious professor and won research grants to keep my pursuit going.
I never expected to get constantly harassed by an evil corporation. They took all my gear, racked up legal fees, stole my John legend concert tix and my girlfriend, Jessie ( she loves jlegend).
This year all I want is a free dinner and the cozy warmth of a thundershock.
Sounds like a better deal ... but, I'm afraid it's got to be the traditional turkey dinner for me - being so far from home and family and all that, need to grab a bit of boring tradition wherever possible :-). Any other offers?
Hey Tom,
Both SALT and Terra do! 2 courses - 218, three courses 258 - And they are serving way more than turkey and cranberry jam - seriously, does any one really enjoy dry turkey and blah pudding for Xmas? (Terra is going South-American style with Roast Suckling Pig yummmmm...) - you can also add free flow...
Anyone found a Xmas dinner (25th December) for less than 280 RMB? Expensive hotel offerings aside, here's what I can find: Stumble Inn Christmas dinner 280 RMB, Blue Frog 280 RMB, Flamme 280 RMB, The Filling Station 280 RMB - three courses, no drinks included (give or take a glass of mulled wine). Bah humbug. What gives with the 280? It's only a bit of turkey and a few spuds.
"As the rubbish cart guy shouted to me as I was peeing through the window of Pyongyang Cold Noodle Restaurant: “Hey friend, you should try the Japanese restaurants around the corner."
Thanks to everyone for entering - Spain does have some A+ exports. Congratulations to ericmu (and his girlfriend), who will be enjoying an Agua hamper this Christmas. ericmu, please check your email.
I didn't look that hard, but I didn't see PBD Pizza Bar anywhere on here.
In my opinion its way better than Kro's, and contends with Hutong, just a different style.
PBD, is all around a better place, cheap beer, moderately priced pizza, but hearty. Great drink specials and a cool atmosphere. And no I'm not a Chinese person working there.
I just think I threw up in my mouth a little when i saw that Pyro pizza made it, and that Gung Ho! was overly celebrated, it's gourmet Domino's!! and always short on everything. Not enough sauce, cheese, or toppings on top of a crunchy sheet of cardboard.
