We're still a little peeved that she didn't send us any info before hand so that we could included it in our 7 Days e-mail newsletter, but internet celebrity and the woman that Chinese netizens have made a fetish out of reviling, Furong Jiejie, performed in Beijing last Saturday afternoon.

Furong Jiejie, or the hibiscus hag as some prefer to call her, put on a gala show for a crowd of over 100 paying fans at Star Live on Saturday afternoon. The performance involved everything from dressing up as an angel and singing to reading poetry and, in the words of someone who attended the show, dancing like a mad woman. You can watch the whole 48-minute performance here and highlights of the show here and here.

The Internet celebrity rose to fame in 2005 and has managed to maintain her presence as a figure of ridicule for the past three years. Articles about here have appeared in the pages of Wired and the Washington Post.
