2009 Oct 14 Sexual Satisfaction Rating Jumps 45% in 18 months

Is there nothing the mighty Chinese nation cannot do? At a time when the country has been busy staving off the worst effects of a global economic meltdown, China has also managed to increase its sexual satisfaction rating by a staggering 45 percent in just 18 months.

According to the Global Times, the annual sex life survey conducted by condom maker Durex has seen China top the list of 26 countries surveyed about levels of sexual satisfaction.

The article states: “Nearly 69 percent of China's sexually active population, who received sexual education, reported they were satisfied with their sex life.” That’s up from just 24 percent in April 2008.

The report continues: “The US had the second highest satisfaction rate with 54 percent, followed by 48 percent in Thailand, 47 percent in France and 22 percent in Japan.”

Admittedly only about 1,000 people from each nation participate in the survey, which has caused some so called “sex experts” to dismiss the findings. Huh! They’re probably jealous they’re not living in China.

In any case, the survey proves there are at least 690 people in China having a good time… although is it really coincidence the winning percentage is 69??

ROFL!

And yeah, that %69 was a bit suspicious.. so I also dismiss these findings. And not because I'm jealous of myself living in China. Sure, the life here is posh and extravagant, but I deserve every bit of it! Big Grin

Go China! Surpass American sexual satisfaction within ten years!

Re: Sexual Satisfaction Rating Jumps 45% in 18 months

By the way, we don't say "jumps 45%" but "jumps 45 points". If you say, 45%, it's 45% of what?

In your very case, that's almost a 300% increase of those who "say they were satisfied with their sex life".

Re: Sexual Satisfaction Rating Jumps 45% in 18 months

yeah the Global Times, what a bunch of garbage. That news org is shiot.

I love my planet Vulcan. I'm proud of being a Vulcan in the universe.

Wow! Somebody has been busy! You must have 1 of 3 things -

1. Bedsores.

2. The clap.

3. Both of the above.

Top marks for effort, though. Smile

Re: Sexual Satisfaction Rating Jumps 45% in 18 months

that's quite a jump considering I've never heard any of my neighbours in the act,and judging by the usual 3 minutes they last,I guess it's moved to 4 minutes now of "satisfaction" and that includes foreplay Laughing

If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains however improbable must be the truth.

Re: Sexual Satisfaction Rating Jumps 45% in 18 months

To be honest, they probably felt they lost face in the last poll, so they all lied on this poll.

Re: Sexual Satisfaction Rating Jumps 45% in 18 months

Couldnt it just be that they got the question wrong and actually thought it meant "are you grateful your having sex?" and its actually shocking news that 31% of Chinese out there dread coming home for the marital duties?

Re: Sexual Satisfaction Rating Jumps 45% in 18 months

You've gotta watch the wording of this poll carefully. Sexual satisfaction does not necessarily equate with an active sex life. You could be satisfied with your sex life if you're not getting any at all.
Based on complains I get from Chinese women and from what my 30-something Chinese girlfriend tells me, Chinese being satisfied with their sex lives and actually having a sex life are indeed two different things. Younger women constantly complain that their boyfriends/husbands are more interested in computer games or playing cards, etc. with their buddies that spending time in the sack other than to sleep. Throw in the lack of privacy that many face in small apartments, and the results fly in the face of what one might assume from this poll.
On top of that, most Chinese tend to lose interest in sex after a couple of years of marriage or after having a child. By their mid-30's, many Chinese are down to having sex from just once a month all the way down to once or twice a year.
Granted, the newest generation of sexually active Chinese, especially women, may be very different than previous generations, and young men anywhere are always horny, but as a nation, most Chinese people I know would scoff at the idea that the Chinese as a whole are among the world's leaders in sexual activity. While Western expats might 'grow' excited about the availability of young Chinese women to lay, many of them who marry Chinese women have to put in a bit of effort to keep their Chinese wives interested in continuing to have a reasonably (to us) active sex life after the first two or three years.
In truth, most Chinese do not regard sex as being very important in a relationship, certainly not like Westerners do. Western men here are generally regarded as being 'sex-mad' for good reason - to them, we are!
So, you interview 0.0000833 percent of a population and arrive at the conclusion that the Chinese are sex maniacs? The vast majority of Chinese are very uncomfortable talking about sex even to close family or friends, let alone to some damn pollster. I don't think so!
