The German-based site Clean Energy Project recently posted an interview with Yinghui Zhang-Carraro, a “freelance writer and resident of Beijing,” about Beijing’s organic food market.

Yinghui present a mixed picture of an organics market very much in its infancy, marred by high prices, over-packaging and questions about certification. Nevertheless, with food safety scandals constantly in the news in China, consumers are becoming increasingly conscious of where their food is coming from and how it is produced.
