Win an iPhone 3GS in the Beijinger.com Reviewer Challenge!!!

Say what you will about life in Beijing, it’s never boring. There’s plenty to do and we all have views on the restaurants, bars, clubs, cafes, galleries and cinemas we visit. So now’s your chance to speak out – and be in the running to win an iPhone 3GS in the process!

It’s easy – all you need to do is find a venue in our online directory, click the “Add a Review” link on the right-hand side of each venue listing, and type away.

For every five reviews submitted before midday next Tuesday (July 20), you’ll get one ticket in the lucky draw. Write 10 reviews, you get two tickets. Each reviewer can have up to 4 tickets in the draw. And the lucky winner gets an iPhone 3GS.

It’s that simple!

Even if you miss out on the iPhone, you can still win a pair of quality Chilean El Toqui wines (Cabernet Sauvingnon and Chardonnay, both 2007). One pair of wines will go to the reviewer who pens the most reviews (assuming they don’t win the lucky draw), while another pair will go to the most creative review.

The competition starts NOW and ends midday on Tuesday (July 20). Full list of house rules below, but the regulations boil down to this: only reviews submitted during the competition period are eligible for the draw, you can review any venue or organization listed in our directory, and only serious reviews will be counted.

Ok – get writing!!

theBeijinger.com Reviewer Challenge Rules

1. Reviews can be for any category (i.e. Restaurants, Bars, Clubs, Community Groups, Hospitals, etc.) listed on theBeijinger.com directory.

2. True Run Media employees and their relatives do not qualify for this contest.

3. Store managers, venue owners and employees will be disqualified if found to be writing reviews of their own venues, and their reviews will be deleted.

4. All reviews are subject to verification and analysis by the judging panel, comprising True Run Media staff.

5. All reviews must be credible. They should reflect the honest opinion of reviewers and must consist of at least four sentences of text that are credible and coherent. “One-word” or “one-phrase” reviews will not be considered eligible. Reviews must comprise original content (no “copy-and-pasting” from other reviews or plagiarizing of reviews from this or any other site). No "vendetta" reviews (i.e. reviews posted with the sole intention of slandering another party, with no useful information offered). Reviews must not contain profanity, and must comply with the laws of the People’s Republic of China.

6. The identities of all chosen winners will be checked and verified by TRM staff.

7. Reviewers who submit at least five reviews will be eligible for one ballot in the lucky draw. Ten or more reviews will garner two ballots. Fifteen or more will garner three ballots, and twenty or more will garner four ballots. The maximum amount of ballots submitted per reviewer will be four.

8. Reviews must be posted under one user name to be counted towards a ballot (in other words, if you sign up for four different accounts and post reviews under each, they will be counted separately).

9. The prize for the lucky draw is an iPhone 3GS, which will be purchased by True Run Media and awarded to the winner in the TRM office on an announced date. True Run Media does not assume any liability for potential defects with the iPhone – any and all responsibility for repairs, replacements etc. by reason of either product defects, accident or misuse is solely that of the vendor and/or user. A prize of Chilean El Toqui wines (one Cabernet Sauvingnon, one El Toqui Chardonnay) will be awarded to the reviewer who submits the most eligible reviews, and the most creative review as decided by the judging panel. The winner of the iPhone draw is not eligible for these secondary prizes.

10. Judges reserve the right to disqualify a review or reviewer for any reason. The decisions of the judging panel are final.
