Thirsty? Your Beer Chugging Skills Could Be Judged For a Good Cause

Seems that Anthony Tao of Beijing Cream has decided to do something nice for his fellow Beijingers.

On Saturday, Aug. 24 at 2pm, Beijing Cream will be hosting its first Chug Off for Charity at Great Leap Brewpub (the more convenient one off Xinzhong Lu). It'll be kind of like Chi Fan for Charity, but competitive and without the gourmet food.

All of the proceeds benefit Magic Hospital, which is dedicated not only to providing medical care for sick, abused, and orphaned children, but also to bringing a bit of fun back into their lives.

Sixteen teams of one or two people will be accepted. One person chugs per single-elimination round, then the team advances. Winners get RMB 300 bar vouchers for Great Leap. Entry fee is RMB 150 per team, which includes two beers minimum plus a goodie bag (each participant receives a RMB 100 voucher from Sherpa's).

Yours truly will be one of the esteemed judges for the event, so come on out and drink beer for a good cause.
