I worry that we might be overwhelming you with news about the soon-to-be-open Home Plate Bar-B-Que in Sanlitun, but if Thursday's sold-out event, 61 restaurant reviews, Reader Restaurant Awards and the Burger Cup have anything to say, you all can't get enough of them.

While the hot tip for Thursday night seems to be Home Plate Sanlitun's hoedown, replete with hog and the fixings and a visiting square dance caller, tickets are no more.

If you're not one of the lucky few, we've got your back. The space should be opening officially in the coming weeks, but to whet your appetite in the meantime, we got a hold of a few photographs of the space.

FYI: The event may be sold out, but there was a faint whisper that, should capacity allow (and only then), some walk-ins may be allowed (RMB 150). Were you really keen on pig, bread pudding and square dancing, it might be worth a quick stop at Courtyard 4 if you are already in the area.
