Talking Pints: 京A Says Happy Valentine's Day With a New Beer

The cupids are out and about tonight, and whether you're looking to catch the love bug or not, Beijing's bars and clubs are all about Valentine's Day this weekend. Some are right there with you while you scoff at the holiday, others have got your back while you try to score a date, and yet others are all about fueling the romance. Here's what's going down tonight, and check our Nightlife events page for a full schedule.

In other news, 京A has chosen today to launch their new beer at The Local. They're calling it The Lucky 8 Lager, and it's going on tap at 8pm for RMB 88 if you order it in a one liter "Valen-stein." And if you're over at the 4corners Valentine's Day Prom tonight, you can enter a raffle for a chance to win a pair of tickets to The Brewer's Table at Big Smoke. The one scheduled for Feb 26 sold out, but if you're looking to go and don't mind waiting until March 26, you might want to get booking. Just shoot an email to richard@capitalbrew.com.

There's two weeks left to take advantage of the two-for-one drink deal at Xiu (ends Feb 28). They've just launched a WeChat, so follow them to get updates on promotions and parties and great stuff like that.

Here are a handful of other events that aren't Valentine's Day-related, but still deserve some lovin':

And Happy Lantern Festival! In case you weren't already exhausted by CNY fireworks, at least tonight you can use them as an excuse to look into your lover's eyes and say, "Baby, those are for you."
