Talking Pints: 京A to Launch Shuaye, Plus Temple Bar Reopens

京A announced a few weeks ago that they would be doing a collaboration beer with the JUE Festival, but unfortunately, it looks like we're going to have to wait yet another two weeks to give it a try because of the cancellation of events this weekend. The beer, called Shuaye, contains sweet potato and cumin, ingredients inspired by, you guessed it, common Chinese street food. If that sounds unusual for a craft brew, remember this: These guys are no strangers to experimenting. In fact, you'll be able try some very creative brews every month at The Experiment at The Big Smoke. Reserve your spot for the next event on April 1.

Beijing is notorious for quick-turnaround remodeling projects, so you may not have even noticed that Temple Bar has been closed for about a week. Either way, if you drop by tonight, they'll be having re-opening party with synth pop, '80s, and funk from Pacalolo and DJ Xiao Jia. If you miss that, there's another reopening celebration on Saturday

Spring is on the way, so at last, Beijing weekends are becoming more party packed. Here are my picks for tonight, but for the rest, check out our Nightlife Events.

  • Party like there's no tomorrow at Migas at Peng Label Night.
  • Is it warm out yet? Modernista could sure fool you. They're hosting a Tropical Disco with DJ Max at Large.
  • In case you missed Mardi Gras, they're celebrating at 4corners. Get in on the whole shebang: beads, cajun-style cuisine and a special cocktail list.
