Great Wall Music Festival Traffic Announcement for Private Vehicles

Just as a heads up, we've heard from the organizers of the Great Wall Music Festival that people going by private transport to the festival should expect severe congestion and delays on the 55-kilometer-long portion Tibet G6 express heading to the Ju Yong Guan section of the Great Wall.

For this reason, no parking permits will be provided for private vehicles at the site and those with private vehicles should park in the Beijing Miniature Park (Lao Beijing Wei Suo Jing Yuan) and then take free organized shuttle buses to the event's site, accessible with a valid festival ticket.

The delays are partly caused by the traffic expected to be heading out of the city for Dragon Boat Festival as well as due to the geographic location and limited access to the Ju Yong Guan section of the wall, where the festival is held.

More information can be found on the official Great Wall Music Festival website.
