Anything Could Happen: Ellie Goulding for Beijing?

British pop princess Ellie Goulding is Beijing bound after it was (semi-)confirmed she's set to play Beijing Exhibition Theater on August 14.

Tickets are already on sale priced between RMB 480 and RMB 1,280 at the top end. The Herefordshire-born beauty, a former winner of the BBC's annual Sound of ... poll and multi-BRIT Award winner, has sold an estimated four million albums and 15 million singles worldwide according to her Wikipedia page.

She's currently at the peak of her powers following the release of her most recent studio album Halcyon, which earned her near-universal critical acclaim when it was released last year.

As if often the case, this announcement comes with a disclaimer not get too excited just yet – we've been here before. "Yeah, yeah, yeah – not to get too excited until you see them on stage in front of you, blah, blah, blah – you're like a broken record." Yeah, but remember the scars left by Oasis, The Killers, James Blake et al.

A quick check on her official website shows that while she'll be in the Asia region around the time the show is supposed to go ahead, a Beijing date hasn't actually been added to her itinerary.
