Lunch in Style: Paul Smith-Inspired Set Menu at Sureño

Fashion and food may seem like an unlikely pairing, what with all those skinny catwalk models, but there is actually a surprising amount of interplay between the two fields. The Opposite House knows this and is doing its best to capitalize on its location in fashion brand-heavy Taikoo Li North. After collaborating with Jo Malone for an afternoon tea set earlier this fall, The Opposite House has now teamed up with another British brand, Paul Smith, to offer a limited-edition set lunch menu

The four course menu (RMB 138 + 15 percent service charge) is inspired by Paul Smith's Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, which strongly features shades of camel, chocolate, navy, and dark red.

The food draws on these fall colors, for example in the starter of portobello mushroom salad with pine nuts, Parmesan and truffle. This is followed by a hearty pumpkin soup, before a choice of sea bass, beef tenderloin or pesto spaghetti for the main course. Finish up with a raspberry chocolate tart adorned with Paul Smith's musical note logo from this season. Overall, the menu is pretty light to say it's four courses, perfect for making the most of the last of the bearable weather.

All of this by itself would be pretty good value, but as an added bonus, all guests will walk away with a Paul Smith notebook and a discount voucher to use at Paul Smith's Taikoo Li North flagship store.

The menu is available on weekday lunch times at Sureño until Friday November 14.
