Bush Tucker Ruckus at the Second AustCham Ball, April 18

The Australian Chamber, in conjunction with the New Zealand community, is hosting the second Australia and New Zealand Country B&S Ball on April 18, expected to be bigger and better than before.

Getting into the spirit of both of these rugged down under lands, the theme of this year’s ball is ‘Bush’ (umm ...) which will be encapsulated by Kempinski’s head-chef in a wild four-course meal, a sneaky Midnight Snack, and, for those whose boots are made for dancing the night away, a recovery breakfast the next day will be laid out on the tables. Local country legends The Hutong Yellow Weasels will be slingin’ the square dancing notes, followed by fiery starlet Nancy J Brown. To round it all off the continuous pouring of free-flow wines, spirits, and beers, is gonna make you feel pretty beaut’ mate.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by emailing your interests to tash.jamieson@austcham.org or by following through to Yoopay. Members will need to splash out RMB 1,250, while non-members will slide over RMB 1,450. While it is a black and tie event (sorry, you’ll have to leave the Swanni at home) country kickin’ boots are encouraged as a cheeky little country twist to your outfit.
