May 27: Rum Tasting with Conoisseur Alexandre Gabriel of Cognac Ferrand and Plantation Rum
Alexandre Gabriel, boss of Cognac Ferrand, is coming to Beijing to present his award winning Plantation Rum range at Janes & Hooch at 2pm this Wednesday (May 27). Everyone is welcome to join the party, taste the rums, and meet with the master blender.
Born on a farm in Southern Burgundy, Gabriel grew up with wines and liqueurs made by his grandparents at home. He partnered with the Ferrands, one of the oldest winemaking families in the Cognac region in 1989, and later became the president and owner of the time-honored brand.
A passionate blender of wines and distilled liquors, Gabriel has become a true leader and a rock star in the drinks industry.
During Wednesdays event, you will be able to meet with Gabriel in person and taste his award-winning Plantation Rums. A total of seven rums, including the Nicaragua that just landed and the Barbados XO, will be available for tasting.
To boot, if you have yet to visit, Janes & Hooch was the winner of "Best Cocktails" award in the 2015 the Beijinger Reader Bar & Club Awards; they are also named "Outstanding" in the "Best Place to Take a Date" category, providing the perfect spot for an afternoon tipple.
