Roll Those Sleeves Up, Great Leap's New Subs are Messy and Delicious

Never comfortable with just being one of Beijing's top breweries, Great Leap are always coming up with new and delicious ways to keep us going back.

The latest addition to the menu, available at the #45 Brewpub in Xinyuanli only, is a small selection of Italian subs, available in three styles  classic meatball (RMB 50), fried chicken (RMB 50), and eggplant parmesan (RMB 45). Of course, we had to try them, and we are big fans of the delectably messy meatball sub. The beef meatballs are made with a similar blend of beef to Great Leap's famous burgers, which gives them a looser texture than you might be used to. The fresh basil flavor is on point too.

Carnivores shouldn't neglect the eggplant parmesan. The packed-in layers of crispy breaded eggplant and gooey cheese make for a satisfying option, meat-free or no. Excellent drunk food.

The subs are also available part of Great Leap's lunch deal on weekdays from 11.30am-2pm, buy a sandwich and get a free Pale Ale #6, Edmund Blackhouse Pils, or soft drink for free.
