Megadeth Set for Beijing's Mastercard Center October 6

Rocktober is coming, and so is Megadeth, now set for an October 6 show at the MasterCard Center's Huiyuan Space.

The Dave Mustaine group, now celebrating its 30th anniversary, was once slated to play Beijing back in 2012, but that show was "postponed." Yeah. Anyway, so far so good on this one.

Mustaine was famously kicked out of Metallica just as they were about to make it big, but seems to have done ok for himself otherwise. "As of 2014, Megadeth has sold 50 million records worldwide, earned platinum certification in the United States for five of its 14 studio albums, and received 11 Grammy nominations. The band's mascot, Vic Rattlehead, regularly appears on album artwork and, since 2010, in live shows. The group has experienced controversy over its musical approach and lyrics, including canceled concerts and album bans. MTV has refused to play two of the band's videos that the network considered to condone suicide," according to a description of the band on the Damai ticketing website. Fifty million records?

Tickets are on sale now, for RMB 680, 880, and 1,280, respectively. The RMB 680 category is already sold out. The Huiyuan Space is a good spot for a concert. Will this show go on? As always: "All Beijing shows pre-cancelled or your money back."
