What's Next In the Pizza Cup? A Week of Pizza Specials to Indulge In
With the launch party behind us and voting in the 2015 Pizza Cup starting this weekend (Oct 25), what's a pizza lover to to do before casting a ballot for their favorite?
How about using this week to expand your pizza horizons? We've gathered a bunch of pizza specials that are going on this week (and extending into the voting period for the Pizza Cup).
If you didn't make it out to the launch party or just had no room to try all of the ones on offer while you were there, here's your chance to try before making up your mind. For an updated list you can check the events listings here; in the mean time, here's a few highlights:
Haven: Two-for-one pizzas
These Houhai newcomers really impressed us at the Launch Party with their pizzas. They are offering offering two-for-one/buy-one-get-one-free pizzas throughout the Pizza Cup.
Tube Station: 10 percent off & tons of drink promos
Grab yourself a 10 percent discount voucher from Dianping.com and also enjoy one of their many promotions on drinks to accompany your 'za: Half off all cocktails and bottle beers Mon-Fri, 5-10pm; 10 shots for RMB 150; 50 percent all coffee Mon-Sun, 2pm-5pm; and unlimited refills on Coke, Fanta, Sprite, and soda water (good through Oct 26).
Bottega: Half-price tronchetto pizzas
Head down to Bottega on Monday evenings for half-price tronchetto, a cheesy rolled pizza topped with prosciutto and arugula. Cut through the richness with half-price Chianti by the glass.
Pie Squared: Pie Squared x 2
Buy one pizza, get one small square or round pizza for free for the duration of the Pizza Cup. Promotion is eligible for dine in or carry-out customers only.
Gung Ho! Gourmet Pizza Kitchen: Two-for-one Tuesdays
Reigning Pizza Cup holders Gung Ho! Pizza are offering buy-one-get-free pizzas for dine-in customers all day on Tuesday, at all three of their locations in Sanlitun, Shuangjing, and Lido.
Whale's Pizza: Free Drinks With Each Pizza
Whale's Pizza, that purveyor of Chinese-style pies such as the Lamb Kebab pizza, the Durian Pizza, and the Spicy Crayfish Pizza, will be offering two free Lemon Sodas or Lemon Cokes with the purchase of each 12" pizza, and four drinks with the purchase of each 16" pizza.
Q Mex: Half-price pizza
Sample Beijing's only Mexican-inspired pizza for half the price every Tuesday at Q Mex. Chow down on the nacho pizza (insert joke here), featuring all your favorite nacho toppings, or the chipotle chicken, topped with spiced chicken, habaneros, corn, and black beans.
Hutong Pizza: 15% Off and a Free Salad
Show this text to your waiter/waitress at Hutong Pizza any time during the Burger Cup and you'll get 15% off and a free salad worth RMB 48.
Luga's: Half-price pizza Mondays
Start your week off right with half-price pizzas (starting from RMB 40) at Luga's every Monday night from 5pm until closing. Luga's thin, Neopolitan-style pizzas are topped with fresh tomato sauce and imported mozzarella.
Loft Eatalicious: Half-price pizzas Mon-Wed in Shunyi
Mon-Wed, all pizzas half-price all day at Loft Eatalicious' locations in Shunyi. For any order of pizza, a complimentary coffee mug will also be given. Valid for dine-in only.
Eatalia: Two pizzas-two beers deal
For the duration of the Pizza Cup, authentic Italian eatery Eatalia is offering a tray of real pizza for two people, plus two bottles of Birra Antoniana artisanal Italian beers, for just RMB 98. Available at all three Eatalia locations.
Bocca Della Verita: Half Price at lunch
Bocca Della Verita is offering all pizzas at hal-price at lunch for the duration of the Pizza Cup. Beverages are RMB 10 if you scan their QR code.
Pizza+: 2-for-1 Slices and 12 percent off
Visit them in store to indulge in one of their daily 2-for-1 deal on slices or grab a 12 percent off coupon from Dianping.com here.
Fly Pizza: Bulgogi pizza and Korean chicken set meal
Fly Pizza's got a few good deals on Dianping.com, but since it's a Korean pizza place, why not go all out and try their bulgogi pizza combo (RMB 175), which includes an 11-inch pizza, Korean fried chicken, salad, and soda.
iFresh Pizza: 30 percent off a DIY pie
The made-to-order any way you like it pizza spot has locations in Wudaokou and now the Kerry Center, and you can get a 30 percent off coupon on Dianping here (however, it can only be used after 2pm).
Pizza Express: Lunch special and happy hour
The UK pizza guys have a weekday Special Lunch Set, Mon-Fri 11am-2pm where RMB 58 gets you a pizza and a drink. Meanwhile later in the day they have Happy Hour Mon-Fri 5-10:30pm where the following drinks are 2-for-1: Peroni, Ginger Mint Mojito, Raspberry Bellini, Summer Martini, Ginger Fresco and Menta Fresca.
Ramo: Pizza party Wednesday and Sunday Funday
It's a pizza party every Wednesday at Ramo, with selected pizzas (margherita, veggie party, salami and pepperoni, and sausage-mushroom) buy-one-get-one free. Go with friends, take a hot date, or just eat them all to yourself. And on Sundays, forget about the coming Monday with Ramo's Sunday afternoon pizza parties. Grab a special-priced sparkling wine (RMB 35) or Jing-A beer (RMB 40) and settle in for some old-school tunes from DJ CAD73 and friends. Finally, Ramo will also be celebrating their 1-year anniversary party on Oct 24 with free flow pizza from 4-6pm, a pizza eating contest at 5pm, and a variety of drink specials.
