Weekend in Nightlife: Scuba, SantaCon, Blasterjaxx, Bobby V, Pool Party, and More!

As promised last week, December isn't slowing down for anyone. Instead of avoiding the cold, embrace it and get outside to see the wide range of entertainment on offer, including top world DJs, a bunch of drunk people dressed as Santa, or even put on your swimming costume and head to a pool party. It would be a shame to miss out.

Santacon Beijing
Santacon, a global non-denominational, non-religious, and totally nonsensical celebration of Santas (a bar crawl really) is spreading the Christmas cheer through Beijing this year. The catch: you have to dress up as Santa, and by dress up, we mean a floppy red hat is not enough. 11.30am. All over Beijing

"Summer Escape in Winter" Pool Party With Juice by Melissa
Trade in your snow boots for flip-flops and enjoy a cocktail or two while you soak in Green Essence's 5-star indoor heated pool overlooking the Sanlitun skyline. If that wasn't enough, for an extra 150 Rambos, Juice by Melissa will provide an open bar with their new line of cold-pressed cocktails and delicious, healthy canapés. 6pm. Disco Extravaganza: The Christmas Drag Ball

On a more serious note, DDC will be hosting SyriArt Artists for Syria this Sunday (Dec 11)Whether you're in the holiday spirit of giving or just want to support people stuck in the mess that is Syria, this event aims to bring awareness and help raise money for this dire humanitarian situation. Read more about the event here.

Don't let the cold and pollution scare you. If you're going to pass up the opportunity to parade around the city in the Santa suit you better double check your definition of fun (or maybe you are really the more sane one). Have a good one, Beijing!
