Diplo to Headline Creamfields Festival In Huairou, May 12-13; Tickets Go On Sale Apr 19

Beijing's typically sleepy outlying Huairou district is about to become a dance music Mecca. That's because renowned EDM star Diplo is set to perform there as part of the Creamfields music festival, running May 12-13.

The fest will be held at Huairou's Topwin Golf and Country Club, and will also feature popular EDM acts like Above & Beyond, Alan Walker, Don Diablo, Gryffin, Martin Garrix, Nghtmre, Sigma, Slander, and W&W, with more artists to be announced soon.

Word about the fest was leaked on WeChat by one of the promoters late this morning (Apr 18). A spokesperson at Topwin then confirmed the event and Diplo's set with TBJ. Beijing hasn't been added to the dates on his touring site, leading many Beijing music buffs to be surprised by word of Diplo's set (both a May 11 set in the Philippines and a May 13 show in Japan are already listed there, however). That being said, presale tickets will go on sale tomorrow (Apr 19) via the fest’s official Damai page, meaning word is sure to quickly spread.

Two day advance tickets are RMB 780. For more information, click here.

Aside from an illustrious string of solo hits and a huge following for his group Major Lazer (which performed in Beijing last year), Diplo can also count collaborations with Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Madonna, Justin Bieber, M.I.A. and other household names among his major feats.

A string of Creamfields electronica fests have been making their way across China as of late, which you can read more about here.
