EAT: Your bite-sized guide to the best eats to be had in Beijing this week.

Park Hyatt Beijing x Georg Jensen afternoon tea

From Apr 1 to Jun 30, Park Hyatt Beijing has teamed up with Danish brand Georg Jensen for an exclusive afternoon tea set menu inspired by Nordic flavors and presented using Georg Jensen's premium design products. Executive chef Martin Aw Yong and executive sous and pastry chef George Yin have sought inspiration from unique Nordic flavors to craft an afternoon tea set made up of six savory snacks alongside a buffet of sweet desserts. Menu highlights include the classic cold smoked salmon with Kaluga caviar, crispy Ibérico pork belly with parsley cream sauce, and fried plaice fillet with classic remoulade, as well as sweet treats such as Danish cold buttermilk coup (koldskål) and caramelized pecan cinnamon twist (kanelstang). The afternoon tea is priced at RMB 588 per couple.

Peninsula Beijing Friday night wine social

Get ready wine aficionados (or those who just like to drink a few glasses after a long week) because The Peninsula has a fantastic new deal. For four hours every Friday night, diners have access to a selection of more than 50 fine wines from around the world, as well as a selection of imported cheese and charcuterie. The event is priced at RMB 280 per person plus surcharge but you can avoid the surcharge by purchasing via the mini-program QR on the poster above.

Mosto's pre-Easter "last supper"

First off: don't worry, Mosto isn't closing (which is what we thought when we spied the title of this event)! This year they have just decided to celebrate Easter a little differently, so they're forgoing the usual traditions and getting the party started a little early. Join them on Thursday, Apr 18 for a special family-style dinner featuring Mediterranean-inspired cuisine by Chef Daniel with free-flow for just RMB 418 per person. Seats are limited, so reservations are a must.

Chef Elodie Jacot-Manesse at TRB Forbidden City

From Apr 26-28, TRB’s owner and founder Ignace Lecleir is set to welcome Chef Elodie Jacot-Manesse for a culinary event in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland’s Swiss Gastronomy Week. The youngest and first female chef to win the prestigious Cuisinier d’Or competition in 2017, Chef Elodie works alongside 3-Michelin star chef Franck Giovannini of the Restaurant de l’Hôtel De Ville in Crissier and heads the Koch Culinary Academy B. Violier. She will be presenting a four-course lunch menu for RMB 388 (RMB 588 with wine pairing) or a five-course dinner menu for RMB 688 (RMB 988 with wine pairing) at TRB Forbidden City.
