Dandelion School Selected as CFFC 2021 Charity Recipient

After 2 rounds of public voting and Committee member voting, the Dandelion School has been selected as the Chi Fan for Charity's 2021 Charity Recipient!

Introduction of Dandelion School

Established in 2005, Dandelion School is the first and only government-approved charitable, non-profit middle school for migrant children in Beijing. The school offers migrant children the opportunity to finish compulsory education whilst staying near their parents. 

The Dandelion School's vision is to educate through teaching and change the world through education. The mission is to drive education equity and quality.

The migrant children that study in Dandelion school come from more than 800 villages around China. While their parents have come to Beijing in pursuit of better opportunities, most of them work in low-income industries. 

Dandelion School welcomes migrant children from low-income families, offering grants of different levels to support their studies.

Specific objectives of the Dandelion School's project

- Supporting students with financial difficulties to finish their elementary education;

- Helping students earn middle school certificates to improve their lives through education;

- Demonstrating that love and hope exist for children in need. 

With support, students in need will get the chance to complete their Elementary education. This is fundamental for their future development.
