Scenes from Last Night’s Bar & Club Awards

A sweaty crowd of well over 500 packed the little-known Mako Live House last night to celebrate the best of Beijing’s Bar & Club scene at the 7th Annual Reader Bar and Club Awards.

The highlight of the evening was the dancers from Club Chocolate (which won last night’s "Sexiest Staff" award).

Beats from the Syndicate, rhythms from the Afrikoko drum troupe and belly dancing from Pussycat Dance kept the evening lively between the awards, emceed by Cheeky Monkey Theatre’s Elyse Ribbons and Ian Ronalds from Chopshticks Comedy.

A total of 49 bars recieved accolades, with multiple winners Fubar (8 awards), Paddy O'Shea's (7), Xiu (6) and Q Bar (6) walking away with the most.
