Blue Frog vs. Fatburger, Fatburger Vs. Blue Frog. Whichever way you think of it this was the final matchup of The Beijinger Burger Cup. The results are now in, they've been checked for electoral fraud and the winner of the battle to find the city's best burger has been decided. And the winner is ...
Blue Frog who have defeated Fatburger by a score of 59% to 41%. Congratulations to them, even if they are not Beijing born-and-bred. Interestingly, Fatburger's website says that they are voted best burger in LA and Las Vegas. It might be good enough for the tourists in Sin City but not Beijingers.
In the third place playoff, Union Bar & Grille defeated The Den by a score of 66% to 34%. Our hats are off to the best four burgers in Beijing - even if personally we may disagree. The Den deserves credit as it held the fight for Beijing in the face of international competition.
A special mention to all of the competing burger joints for fighting a good, clean fight and also for the sterling work on combining meat and buns.

Fatburger (at least the guo mao operation) redefines the concept of Fast Food -- they serve fast-food quality burgers at the glacial pace of a sit-down restaurant. The last time I was there the staff outnumbered the customers 5 to 1 and it still took three people to understand and process my single-item order (and I speak chinese ...)

I would also have to agree with the other comments. How could Blue Frog won? I purposely ate at Blue Frog so I could make an objective vote of Blue Frog over Fatburger. And between these two, Fatburger was clearly better. Out of all, Let's Burger was also better. I don't know how the masses voted for Blue Frog, unless I ate the wrong kind of burger.
Regardless of the vote, I would eat FATBURGER any day of the week over Blue Frog.
Amazing burgers? Check.
USA-quality onion rings? Check.
California-style Choco milkshakes? Check.
Where?
Blue Frog?
