2011 Dec 27 Zi An Print and Graphics: Picture Perfect Curios

The antique metal sign and powder-blue exterior make the place feel like home – the home of a distant relative with a penchant for art, stories and tradition. The truth is close enough.
Owner Zi An, a longtime collector of original graphic art, took care to fashion a warm yet private space for his curios. Ex libris bookplates, engravings and prints, which are festooned all over the walls and propped on the lovingly worn shelves and tables, are organized by origin: European artists on the left, Chinese on the right. Themes range from Eastern European surrealism to Peking opera, and are priced at RMB 100 to 300, depending on the size and whether or not they come with a frame. Smaller prints start from RMB 40.

Atelier 21: French Studio-Boutique Adds Color to Lido

The hallway is damp and dark, the room numbers barely discernible. Your expectations are understandably low. Suddenly, the door opens and you’re left blinded by the vivid hues, the sweet scent of potpourri and the warm sunshine cascading through the windows. A steady stream of French chatter pervades the room, softened by melancholy tunes and quiet laughter. The scene resembles more of an intimate social gathering than a studio-boutique.
Delia: Vintage Store With a Naughty Reputation

A vintage shop named after a school in Hong Kong with a naughty reputation can only mean trouble. The décor looks innocent enough: soft leather, worn woods and quaint trinkets. But temptation lurks at every corner.
