Barcamp Beijing: Do You Have the Desire to Inspire?

BarCamp Beijing, the local chapter of the international user-driven conference, goes down this Sunday, January 27th and the organizers are looking for speakers to share their ideas and projects with an expected audience of over 200 people. The presentation can be on any topic - a great project/idea/demo/art that you want to share with the world. The organizers recommend speakers to think of an audience that they do not currently reach, thinking about what you want them to know about your idea, and why.

Presenters will have ten minutes to pitch a thought, idea or issue using slides, audio, video or even just the simple strength of your voice. This will then be followed by a 10 minute interactive discussion between the presenter and other participants to share and challenge different perspectives and ideas.

"This is a great opportunity to get exposure for your work and to engage in constructive dialogue. You can discuss the problems you've had, the solutions you want to create, and collaborations that you want to make in the future," say Barcamp organizers Yin Mei and Ming Chou.

Anyone with the "desire to inspire is welcome" - past participants range from techies, scientists, doctors and chefs to artists, designers, musicians and social entrepreneurs - and the event is open to all. You can sign up for free here.
