Spice Up Your Life with the Beijinger's Annual Chilli Pepper Contest

Seeking some spice in your life? Look no further than the Beijinger's Annual Hot Chilli Pepper Eating Contest on Saturday June 29, part of the Canada Day celebrations at the Canadian International School. Ten chilli-chomping warriors will battle it out in the ultimate taste bud endurance test for a chance to win vouchers worth thousands of RMB for a few “hot" restaurants, including Ganges and Patara.

Gabe "Dr Pepper" Monroe is the veteran champion of our chilli pepper contest, in our 2011 contest I witnessed him single-handedly eat 60 chilli peppers before claiming his long honored title. I've got to hand it to him, the man knows how to eat his chillies. Monroe recommends training with Infinity Sauce, which can be delivered to China quickly. If you can't get that, browse any grocery store aisle for some original Sichuan hot sauce.

So, can you take the heat? Enter the contest to prove you’re really hot stuff. To register, email events@thebeijinger.com before this Wednesdsay June 26 (includes free entry to Canada Day). For Canada Day ticket prices and booking information, email canadaday@ccbc.com.cn or call (8526 1820).
