Talking Tunes: Ke$ha Confirmed, is Nicki Minaj Next?

Always an easy week for Talking Tunes this one as it's typically when a slew of show confirmations drop into my email inbox. Before I pick out a few select shows in the pipeline for next month, remind yourself that Kesha (or Ke$ha) is now confirmed to come to town – she'll be here November 19. No sooner do we have it confirmed that we're getting one R&B pop star, than we hear grumblings of another on the way. Smart Shanghai is reporting that Nicki Minaj could also be in line for a China jaunt. It seems she'll be about for part of a two-day festival with a host of other names including DJ Benny Benassi and Fedde "Hands Up for blah, blah, blah" Le Grand.

Carsick Cars, Nova Heart, WHAI and Long Shen Dao are among nine acts scheduled to perform at Yugong Yishan's "9 YEAHS" night on September 21; European electronic outfit Skip & Die will be at YGYS on October 6; Finnish heavy metal group Amorphis continue the Scandinavian invasion on October 25 when they too play Yugong Yishan; and German metal outift Reich God will be at YGYS on October 27. Hanggai will have a release party for their new EP at 2 Kolegas on October 25.

A couple of gems on the horizon:

• Swedish rockers EF are in town performing at Yugong Yishan tomorrow night (Sep 13).
• The Beijing Dead hit 4corners on Saturday night (Sep 14).
• Big haired Swedish rockers Dynazty hit Beijing for round two when they play MAO Livehouse on Sunday (Sep 15).
