Next Barcamp Beijing Scheduled for November 3

The quarterly gathering of earnest young people, known as Barcamp Beijing, is upon us, with the next event scheduled for November 3 at its usual location of Microsoft Asia Pacific R&D in Haidian.

Organizers are looking for speakers to share their ideas and projects with an expected audience of over 200 people. The presentation can be on any topic – a great project/idea/demo/art the speaker wishes to share with the world. Presenters will have 10 minutes to pitch a thought, idea or issue using slides, audio, video or even just the simple strength of one's own voice. This will then be followed by a 10-minute, interactive discussion between the presenter and other participants to share and challenge different perspectives and ideas.

Anyone with the "desire to inspire" is welcome – past participants range from technologists, scientists, doctors and chefs to artists, designers, musicians and social entrepreneurs – and the event is open to all. You can sign up for free here.
