He Must be Knackered: Beijing Boarder on Route to Tibet

A Beijing skateboarder has arrived in Zhengzhou, partway through a journey to Tibet on his skateboard. Twenty-four-year-old Zhang Renfeng plans to make it to Lhasa eventually, but after 12 days he reached Henan Province last week.

Zhengzhou newspaper, the Dahe Daily, states the skateboard enthusiast is a Beijing-based interior designer and is carrying a small backpack with him containing a tent, sleeping bag, cane, camera, water, and "medicine." Zhang is keeping a diary of his journey, which he asks local post offices he encounters along the way to stamp.

Zhang reckons the trip will take up to four months to complete. That's a lot of replacing those tiny wheels. He gave no explanation as to why he's undertaking this epic odyssey.

He seems like a deep and insightful guy to give no explanation of why he's doing it.

Why isn't it reported that some Tibetans ketou throughout all of Tibet, on their hands and knees, sometimes taking years without showering and eating very little through the harsh winters?

Nope, the douche gets the cover story. Nice one.
